Destiny 2 Players Question the Missed Opportunity with Prismatic Titan

The inclusion of the Prismatic subclass significantly altered the landscape for all three classes in Destiny 2. However, the Titan class may have been the least affected by these changes, according to players. Many believe that Bungie missed a crucial chance to enhance the Titan class when implementing Prismatic.

On Reddit, a user argued that the addition of the Throwing Hammer ability could have greatly enhanced the Prismatic Titan. They pointed out the heavy reliance on Consecration and limited Jolt options as the primary factors supporting this claim.

It is a crime we didn’t get hammer throw on Prismatic Titan. We could’ve had a flaming, lightning-calling Thor’s hammer. byu/randomnumbers22 inDestinyTheGame

The Titan’s Throwing Hammer, also referred to as the Bonk Hammer among players, has been a fundamental weapon for many years. Despite being nerfed in the past year, it continues to be a favored tool among Titans.

A large number of comments on the post expressed similar sentiments. One comment stated, “I was disappointed that the bonk hammer was not included in the Prismatic Titan for Final Shape. I was planning on focusing on playing as Titan this expansion solely because I was anticipating the freedom to bonk, which was the only thing I truly desired.”

Another commenter stated, “I believe it should be considered a crime to present us with the titanic figure wielding a throwing hammer and diamond lance, and then not offering it as an option. The Hammer of Sol and Consecration abilities do not suffice.”

Some argued that the main problem was the overpowering strength of other classes, rather than Titan lacking sufficient options. One individual remarked, “Moreover, Prismatic Hunter possesses two melees that can be immediately reset (Combination Blow with dodge and Threaded Spike on Perfect Catch) without any cooldown whatsoever.”

Despite ongoing balancing adjustments, the chances of a Prismatic Bonk Titan appearing are still low. However, there are several viable alternatives available, and Titans have shown improvements since the early days of the Salvation’s Edge Race to World First where they were largely excluded.
