Destiny 2 Raids Will Feature Multiple World’s First Races with Upcoming Revamps

The developers of Destiny 2 have revealed exciting news—there will be multiple world’s first raid races in the future, attributed to significant revamps of the game’s activities.

Bungie, the studio behind Destiny 2, is putting considerable effort into retaining its player base amid recent layoffs and scaled-back content plans for the looter shooter. This shift left many players pondering the future of the franchise.

Since then, the developers have actively reassured the community that they’re “just getting started”with Destiny 2. They have made several announcements regarding new content, including a commitment to launching a new raid every year, despite reducing the scope of other storyline content and activities.

In addition to the annual raid commitment, Bungie is introducing revamps for these upcoming raids. This includes a second raid race event and fresh challenges for seasoned raiders looking to test their skills.

Destiny 2’s latest raid will undergo a revamp shortly after its launch, featuring a new world’s first raid race.

In the developer insight blog from September 25, it was mentioned that the first raid under the project Codename: Apollo will receive a “Challenge Update.”This update promises to introduce new rewards, mechanics, Feats, and “potentially even new encounters.”

The revamp is scheduled for the first major update following Codename: Apollo, expected to occur around three months post-expansion release.

Completing the new challenges introduced in the revamp will grant players access to the highest tier of raid rewards, alongside exclusive new items. This includes new weapons and an opportunity to obtain the catalyst for the raid exotic, enhancing its power significantly.
