Destiny 2 Simplifies Exotic Class Item Farming in Episode Revenant

Players of Destiny 2 will find it significantly simpler to acquire desired rolls on Exotic class items within Episode Revenant, as confirmed by Bungie.

This exciting update was shared casually in a post on X/Twitter dated October 7, where the studio hinted at enhancements to the existing system by mentioning “Exotic Class Item Attunement” and adding, “Tomorrow. Ghost vendor in Pale Heart.”

While Bungie refrained from providing extensive details, it is reasonable to assume that the destination vendor in The Final Shape will enable Guardians to have a greater influence over the perks that roll on their class items.

Exotic class items serve as a crucial component for Prismatic builds and can be unlocked by completing Destiny 2’s sole two-player challenge, known as Dual Destiny. Players receive one class item for both initial and further completions, with additional class items also available from chests found in The Pale Heart, which have a small chance of dropping the items.

After players voiced concerns about the rarity of armor pieces despite the availability of over 60 unique variations, Bungie responded by adding them as potential wares available from Xur during his weekly visits. However, these are also subject to random rolls and may not always be offered when the Agent of the Nine is present in the Tower.

The introduction of attunement for Exotic class items effectively diminishes the need to depend on RNG for ideal perks, although Bungie has not clarified how this mechanism will function. It’s likely that Guardians will need to spend Glimmer and other resources for each transaction, with no assurance that they can manually select both Exotic perks.

A clearer understanding of how this new system operates will become available when Revenant launches. In the meantime, players can prepare for the upcoming significant update by exploring the perks associated with Revenant’s artifact, the seasonal weapons introduced in Act 1, and some potent buffs provided by the new Tonic system.
