Destiny 2 Solstice 2024: Best Rolls for All Weapons

The latest iteration of Destiny 2’s popular Summer event, Solstice 2024, has been released, offering Guardians the chance to acquire four new weapons and obtain optimal rolls.

The weapons included in this group are Compass Rose, Crowning Duologue, Fortunate Star, and Something New. Three of these have been previously released while one is making its debut.

In previous years, Solstice has faced criticism for its failure to advance the PvE and PvP meta. However, this year marks a change, as all four guns possess unique qualities and a few of them are even considered top-tier.

Before the conclusion of the Solstice 2024 event on August 27, make sure to farm for all the god rolls available for each weapon. These are the rolls you’ll definitely want to have.

Compass Rose god roll

This Solar Shotgun is highly effective in the Crucible due to its extensive selection of perks, making it the ultimate PvP roll to obtain through farming.

  • Barrel: Smoothbore
  • Magazine: Assault Mag
  • Perk 1: Threat Detector
  • Perk 2: Opening Shot

The PvP potential of this weapon is unmatched, boasting the same highly sought-after perks as the legendary Matador 64, which reigns supreme in the Crucible. The combination of Threat Detector and Opening Shot is a proven and deadly one, allowing for precise and lethal shots that can easily take down opposing Guardians with just one hit.

Skilled players may also want to take into account the potential benefits of Slickdraw, which increases the handling of Compass Rose to 100 but may decrease target acquisition. While this perk may not seem favorable at first, as an imprecise gun is typically ineffective, it can still be useful on a Shotgun due to the majority of gunfights being in close proximity.

Crowning Duologue God Roll

This year’s remarkable transformation has established Crowning Duologue as the supreme Strand Rocket Launcher, with its unbeatable PvE god roll solidifying its place as the go-to weapon in the meta.

  • Barrel: Volatile Launch
  • Magazine: Impact Casing
  • Perk 1: Reconstruction
  • Perk 2: Bait and Switch

Upon its initial release last year, Crowning Duologue gained popularity as a meme. Its perk pool was designed for taking out multiple enemies, but Rocket Launchers were mainly used for dealing high damage, leading to limited usage. Fortunately, Bungie has taken note and made significant improvements this time around.

This reissued version remains exceptional, featuring the powerful combination of Reconstruction and Bait & Switch, which was previously a staple for Apex Predators and has now become a top choice for Crowning Duologue. While it boasts the highest damage potential, Envious Assassin presents an intriguing alternative by allowing you to load multiple rockets simultaneously, making for a remarkably effortless DPS rotation.

Fortunate Star god roll

The recently introduced Void Bow in Solstice 2024 is exceptionally impressive, particularly due to its exclusive god roll for PvE that cannot be obtained with any other Combat Bow.

  • Bowstring: Tactile String
  • Arrow: Fiberglass Arrow Shaft
  • Perk 1: Archer’s Tempo
  • Perk 2: Kill Clip

Fortunate Star is a rare exception among Lightweight Bows, as it appeals to both veteran and novice players alike. Its unique feature of having Kill Clip allows even beginners to excel, as this perk activates after each kill and grants a consistent 25% damage boost without requiring any extra effort.

Fortunate Star is one of only two Bows that can roll with Kill Clip. The other, Whistler’s Whim, is a weapon exclusive to Trials of Osiris. However, the Void Bow surpasses its Trials counterpart in terms of PvE performance. This is due to the fact that it is equipped with Archer’s Tempo, which grants it an impressive draw time of only 459 ms, resulting in a significant boost in DPS.

Something New god roll

Despite being the least powerful among the four weapons released this year, the Stasis Hand Cannon is still a reliable choice. If you want to maximize its potential, you should aim to obtain this god roll by farming in PvP:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Perk 1: Snapshot Sights
  • Perk 2: Precision Instrument

The novelty of Something New may have worn off, but this reissued version does offer something unique. It is the sole Hand Cannon that can have the desirable combination of Snapshot Sights and Precision Instrument, making it a powerful choice in PvP, where Aggressive Hand Cannons thrive.

Despite the Hand Cannon’s otherwise poor Handling, Snapshot Sights greatly improves its responsiveness. Additionally, the Precision Instrument perk increases damage at long distances, making it possible to take out enemy Guardians with just three shots from almost any location. Despite this advantageous combination, the Stasis gun’s slow reload may prevent it from being considered part of the meta.
