Destiny 2 Solstice Bow: A Powerful Weapon for PvE with Unique Perk Combination

The latest installment of Solstice, taking place in 2024, is now available in Destiny 2. This year’s edition of the popular summer event introduces a Combat Bow that boasts a particularly potent combination of perks in the looter shooter game.

Furthermore, Solstice has not only reintroduced all of the event’s previous weapons, but has also included Fortunate Star, a formidable Void Bow that appears to be one of the most powerful in its category.

Despite not having a meta frame, this newcomer, known as the Lightweight Bow, boasts an exceptional perk combination: Archer’s Tempo and Kill Clip. In fact, it is the only Bow to have both of these perks in its repertoire, making it a truly unique weapon.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to farm the Fortunate Star god roll before Solstice ends on August 27.

This unique perk combination is easy to use but also very strong in PvE content.

Although Kill Clip typically falls behind perks like One For All, Surrounded, and Swashbuckler in PvE, it shines when paired with a Combat Bow. By triggering a 25% damage increase after landing a final blow and automatically reloading between shots, Kill Clip becomes a powerful and effortless addition to a Bow’s arsenal.

Despite Kill Clip being available on Whistler’s Whim, the Solstice Bow remains the superior choice due to its ability to also obtain Archer’s Tempo in the other column.

Archer’s Tempo is a highly effective utility perk that enhances the draw speed of Bows by 25%. It can easily be activated by dealing precision damage, a natural tactic when using Bows as they excel at targeting enemy vulnerabilities. These perks require minimal effort to utilize, yet they significantly enhance the performance of Fortunate Star.

Additionally, these can be further improved. When activated, Archer’s Tempo increases its duration to 4 seconds while Kill Clip lasts for 5.5 seconds. This not only increases their uptime, but also makes them more forgiving. While the difference may not be significant, even small enhancements can have a huge impact on a weapon that was already exceptional.

When farming for Fortunate Star, it is inevitable that you will come across the other weapons featured in the event. Be sure to examine all Solstice 2024 god rolls to identify the most valuable ones, and also determine which meta Destiny 2 PvE weapons to utilize in order to optimize your progress during the event.
