The Warlocks in Destiny 2 have been enjoying a nourishing diet due to the addition of powerful Exotics in The Final Shape update, with one in particular proving to be highly effective in the Crucible.
Despite support builds being seldom utilized in the PvP meta, Speaker’s Sight has managed to surpass expectations thanks to its exceptional compatibility with other gear. The helmet’s Exotic perk, The Lost Voice, may have a simple description but its impact is significant: “Throwing healing grenades spawns a Restorative Turret. Healing nearby allies has a chance to spawn an Orb of Power.”
In isolation, both buffs are unremarkable, but that’s where the Ember of Benevolence shines. With the Solar Fragment, there is a significant 400% increase in regen rates for Melee, Grenade, and Class abilities for six seconds in PvE and three seconds in PvP.
Having three Warlocks utilizing this setup in Trials of Osiris or Competitive allows for almost constant availability of all abilities and unmatched healing. Interestingly, by incorporating The Final Shape’s Khvostov 7G-0X Exotic primary, Speaker’s Sight can become even more powerful.
Khvostov 7G-0X complements this dominant Warlock PvP build even further.
The principal purpose for this is due to its synchronization with one of Episode Echoes’ Artifact Mods. Radiant Orbs bestows Radiant (25% increase in damage) upon Guardians when they collect an Orb of Power. Moreover, gathering Orbs triggers Khvostov 7G-0X’s Eyes Up, Guardian Exotic perk, amplifying the effectiveness of the weapon’s subsequent ricochet shots.
Thanks to its ability to consistently generate Orbs and trigger both buffs, Speaker’s Sight has become a universally powerful option for Warlocks. In fact, it has become so popular that the Khvostov 7G-0X is currently the most utilized weapon in Competitive PvP as of June 24, according to Destiny Tracker.
It is uncertain if Bungie will perceive the combo as overpowered and implement nerfs, but even if they do, Warlocks still have numerous options to rely on in The Final Shape.
