Controlling Vision, a Kinetic Sidearm, is available as a drop in Echoes’ world loot pool. Despite its availability, it has not gained popularity among players. According to Light.GG, as of August 26, it holds a PvE rating of 2.0 and a PvP rating of 2.8, indicating that the community has little to no interest in utilizing this weapon.
Despite not being widely recognized, Controlling Vision is actually a highly effective weapon, particularly in The Crucible. Both its perk selection and archetype make it well-suited for PvP, and it can even hold its own in high-level game modes like Competitive and Trials of Osiris.
The Sidearm has the ability to utilize a variety of perks in both column one, such as Air Assault, Fragile Focus, and Surplus, and column two, including Offhand Strike and Threat Detector. These perks greatly enhance the versatility of the gun and make it compatible with a multitude of builds and playstyles.

Some players may be worried about the lack of a damage perk, given the current popularity of perks like Golden Tricorn and Kill Clip. However, Adaptive Frames such as Controlling Vision have a fast time to kill of only 600 ms, making them competitive even without additional DPS.
Remember to always engage in close combat and limit the use of this Sidearm to smaller maps to prevent being overpowered. Additionally, remain cautious of opposing Guardians who may have an advantage with popular PvP weapons such as Compass Rose and Someday, as they are effective against Sidearms.
