The re-introduction of The Whisper mission not only allows players to craft the exotic sniper rifle, but also provides the best kill farm in Destiny 2, making it easier to complete catalysts and Brave Arsenal attunement quests.
Despite its effectiveness, using Shuro Chi to farm enemies in Destiny 2 has its downsides. These include the need for constant Raid Banners, limited availability to those who own Forsaken, and difficulty in accessing the location.
Despite this, there is now a superior option available with the revival of The Whisper, the mission for the Whisper of the Worm. Within this mission, there is a specific area where Shadow Thralls continuously spawn, allowing players to repeatedly farm them until the mission’s timer runs out.
Proceed through the exotic mission as usual until you come across an opening with several spheres. If you hear a menacing voice saying “You shall drift,”you’ll know you’ve reached the right location.
Make your way to the top right of this room and enter the hole. The voice will speak again, cautioning you, “There is no light,”which confirms that you are in the right place. From here, descend to the level below and start farming Shadow Thralls.
In the past, Whisper farming was acceptable but not widely utilized in the meta because of the time restriction on the exotic mission. Initially, players were given only 20 minutes to complete it, but in Into The Light, this has been extended to a generous 40 minutes.
Once the mission has been understood, it is a simple task to reach this location within a few minutes. This provides the opportunity for over 35 minutes of uninterrupted farming, and with the Thrall’s abundant ammo drops, this approach can be used for all types of weapons – be it primary, special, or heavy.
One major benefit of The Whisper farming is that it is completely free to participate in. This allows anyone to use this technique to finish exotic catalysts or Brave Arsenal attunement quests.
The recommended 1810 Power Level should not be a worry for New Lights as there is now an option to collect free power upgrades from a chest located next to Lord Shaxx in the Hall of Champions, the main hub of Into The Light.
