After nearly seven years, Bungie is set to unveil an Ornament for Verity’s Brow, allowing players of Destiny 2 an opportunity to transform the appearance of what many consider the game’s least attractive Exotic weapon.
First introduced in Season 3, Verity’s Brow serves as a powerful tool for Warlock players, amplifying grenade energy and enhancing damage with weapon final blows. Despite its effectiveness—even receiving buffs during the Episode Heresy—the Exotic has often faced criticism due to its unappealing design.
In a recent update from Bungie, detailed in the February 13 TWID, the developers announced plans for a military-themed reskin of the Exotic. This revamped look features camouflage and tactical lasers that promise to make Verity’s Brow more visually appealing.
Bungie enthusiastically stated, “We also wanted to share something else with you all as a fun treat. Because it’s very cool, but also because you won’t stop asking for it. Here is the first ever Ornament for Verity’s Brow that’s coming during Codename: Frontiers, with less bones, but more lasers, ” before sharing an image of the new Ornament showcased below.

Community Reactions to the New Verity’s Brow Ornament
It comes as no surprise that the Destiny 2 community has expressed excitement over the prospect of styling Verity’s Brow without compromising their in-game fashion. Discussions erupted on platforms like r/DestinyFashion, where a dedicated post garnered over 3, 400 upvotes. Many Guardians praised the new design, though some couldn’t resist a lighthearted jab at its “cross-eyed laser eyes, ” which raised eyebrows regarding their practicality.
While Destiny 2 leans more into a fantastical narrative than realism, players seem to embrace the over-the-top features. One enthusiastic community member noted, “Thought this was a new Excalibur helmet in Warframe for a sec. Absolutely love this design. Would pair perfectly with the Duality armor for a more mil-spec looking build.”
Other reactions echoed similar sentiments, with comments like, “Not a warlock, but that looks pretty sweet, ” and “NVG looks f**king sick” indicating an overall appreciation for the military aesthetic. Even critiques were tempered; users dubbed it “the Ornament of all time” and acknowledged its “great concept, questionable execution.”
Despite these mixed reviews, the largely favorable reception suggests that Bungie has succeeded in revitalizing Verity’s Brow, transforming it from a visually unappealing choice into a more desirable Exotic for players to equip.
