Dual Destiny is the latest addition to Destiny 2’s two-player co-op missions, and one of the encounters has caused a split among players regarding the proper use of callouts.
While a majority of Destiny 2’s content does not necessitate extensive communication, players can still easily jump in and experiment. However, Bungie has introduced The Final Shape, a new co-op mission that emphasizes the importance of efficient and swift communication between partners to successfully complete the mission within the time limit.
In order to have any chance of success in the exotic mission, the pair must collaborate, whether it be by identifying symbols or defeating enemies as a team. However, there is one particular encounter that has caused division within the Destiny 2 community, as there is disagreement over the callouts for it.

The Tormentor room contains a pyramid that is visible to both players. Each player must determine which of the 9 shards to shoot. This aspect of the encounter sparked debate among the community, as two opposing sides emerged in their opinions.
There is a belief among some that the shards, arranged in a clocklike pattern, should be labeled according to their position on an analog clock. This would result in the clock missing the numbers 11, 12, and one, leaving only numbers two to ten available as callouts.
On the other hand, players argue that it should be said as one to nine because there are a total of nine shards and we typically read from left to right. Prominent content creators such as Datto and Gothalion have also expressed their preference for the one-to-nine callouts.
Some have come to the defense of the clock strategy, arguing that it involves less counting overall, and that those who criticize it simply do not understand how to read a clock.
Dual Destiny remains the sole means of obtaining an exotic class item, rendering it a necessary challenge for those seeking the distinctive perk combinations it offers.
