Detailed Armor Upgrade Guide for Black Myth: Wukong

In Black Myth: Wukong, players will embark on a perilous journey as The Destined One, facing constant danger and adventure. Throughout the game, players must prepare for tough battles against formidable bosses, as even the slightest mistake or lack of sturdy armor could result in defeat.

The game offers a diverse selection of armor, which can also be upgraded once you reach a certain stage. This allows you to retain your preferred armor without compromising its stats.

1. How to Upgrade Armor in Black Myth: Wukong?

The NPC blacksmith Yin Tiger in the Zodiac Village can upgrade the armor, which is accessible in Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukong. Players will be able to enter the Village after obtaining the Ruyi Scroll from Chen Loong.

To reach the Zodiac Village, there are specific requirements that must be met. The most important being the completion of Chen Loong’s quest, which will grant you the Ruyi Scroll necessary for traveling to the village and meeting the designated blacksmith.

2. Completing Chen Loong’s quest in Black Myth: Wukong

The completion of Chen Loong’s quest requires defeating him in a boss fight and obtaining resurrection pills from an NPC named Xu Dog, which will ease his suffering.

In Chapter 3, Chen Loong can be located in the northern part of the “North Shrine of the Bitter Lake”Keeper’s Shrine. He can be found near a hut by the waters. Approach him to initiate a boss fight. After defeating him, he will transform into a weak dragon and ask you to retrieve some resurrection pills.

3. Finding the Resurrection Pills and Visiting Zodiac Village

Xu Dog can be located near the Cellar Shrine at the Crouching Tiger Temple during Chapter 2 of Black Myth: Wukong. By engaging in a conversation with him, players can acquire the specially-crafted bone-strengthening Pellet, which can then be presented to Chen Loong.

Quickly travel to the Shrine and meet with Xu Dog. Once you receive the pills, deliver them to Chen Loong and he will reward you with a Ruyi Scroll, fulfilling his quest. Unroll the scroll to be transported to the Painted Realm, where you can locate the Zodiac Village.

He is able to create a variety of armor and gear for you, and this will also grant you the ability to enhance your armor at his store.

4. Upgrading Armor in Black Myth: Wukong

To enhance the armor in Black Myth: Wukong-

  • Visit the blacksmith known as Yin Tiger in Zodiac Village.
  • Choose the ‘Craft’ option.
  • Navigate to the option for upgrading armor by scrolling down.
  • Choose the Armor or Gear for Upgrade.
  • Swap out the necessary items and enhance the armor.

Upgrading armor is a simple task once you have located the necessary blacksmith. All you need to do is gather the required materials and Will currency. Refined Iron Sand and Fine Gold Thread are highly effective items for crafting and enhancing top-tier armor in the game.
