Details of Upcoming Changes for Madden 25 Release

During its early access period, Madden 25 encountered several significant issues, which were addressed by the developers in the launch day update.

Ever since early access began on August 12, Ultimate Team has faced numerous problems. In an attempt to address some glitches, EA temporarily shut down the auction house. Despite this effort, players continued to experience issues with the update, specifically with the inability to set minimum prices, resulting in difficulty listing items for sale.

Moreover, a never-ending pack glitch enabled players to obtain top-rated players at a low cost. In terms of gameplay, defensive weaknesses have been exposed, particularly in the area of zone defenses which are frequently torn apart. Additionally, there is a loophole in custom route stems that easily bypasses defenses.

EA addressed the issues mentioned in Madden 25 and released an update on launch day in response.

New Changes Coming to Madden

The developers have announced that the following changes will be implemented in Madden 25 in the near future:

Gameplay

• As part of our scheduled post-launch updates, we are making progress towards implementing the Revamped Passing mechanic from College Football 25 in an upcoming title update.
• We acknowledge the potential for exploits and imbalances that may arise with the introduction of Custom Route Stems, but we are still eager to provide players with the freedom and flexibility that comes with this feature. To address any issues that may arise, we are already planning fixes for upcoming updates.

Franchise

• Draft Classes Import: We are targeting a fix in a future update that will allow you to import a draft class directly from the Download Center into your Franchise.
  • Download Draft Class from the Download Center in Main Menu
  • Access your Franchise
  • Once in Franchise, Import the Draft Class From your Local File
  • Dev Note: We do have a workaround for importing your Draft Class with the below steps:
• Play Now Live & Weekly NFL Roster Starting Points for Franchise:
  • For our Franchise fans who like to hop into any week of the NFL regular season and beyond, we want to confirm that we will be adding the NFL Roster starting points for Franchise every week.
  • This also means that Play Now Live Weekly Matchups will reflect the current matchups for every week starting in the regular season.

Superstar

• Profanity Filter blocking Road To Glory imports into Superstar.
  • An update for changing names is now set to 3 minutes. A future update will allow players to change their names in Madden NFL 25 without going back to College Football 25.
• There is a known issue regarding the AI team not re-signing all of the free agents on the user’s team.
• Known issue around importing multiple position players from Road To Glory into Superstar.
• Brand Quest Difficulty: We are looking into tuning some of the Brand questlines
• A solution for a rare problem involving the camera freezing while changing possession will be included in a future Title Update.
• Known issue Showdown Gold/Silver/Bronze abilities may not load properly

Ultimate Team

• We are currently investigating an issue with certain players being unable to list the intended number of auctions on the Auction House.
• We are currently exploring the launch of Ultimate Alumni Rewards and will keep you informed with any necessary updates.
• Looking into claims of incorrect tracking in online games.
• The Season of BOOM Jabrill Peppers Upgrade Token is currently under investigation as it cannot be applied to the corresponding Jabrill Peppers Item. We are aware of this issue and are working towards a resolution.
• Known issue with the upcoming Legends program pack reveal animation

Audio

• Commentary: We have seen feedback regarding the volume level of commentary being a little too low and have plans to address this in a future update
• Soundtrack: We see some players are having trouble finding the ‘Classic Songs’ that can be turned on for the soundtrack. This can be done from the main menu:
  • PlayStation: click the touchpad.
  • Xbox: press the Back button.
  • PC: Press the “T” key to access the menu.

Presentation

• Gameplay Cameras: We will continue to monitor feedback regarding the default gameplay camera angle.
  • For players who may not know, during a game, you can press up or down on the directional pad to change the gameplay camera during a game.

How to Gameshare on PlayStation

• Some players using the console gameshare feature are having difficulties with matchmaking.
  1. Open Madden and go to the main menu.
  2. Select the “Start” option.
  3. Navigate to the “Free Trial” section.
  4. Attempt to start the free trial; this should prompt the system to check for latest updates.
  5. If there are updates available, follow the on-screen instructions to download.
  6. After updating, try reconnecting your account to see if the issue is resolved.
  • For now, this can be solved by swapping to the account on the console that purchased the title.
  • Additionally, we are seeing success with players with the workaround below

The update has not been implemented yet.
