Devin Haney’s Boxing Record: Ryan Garcia Fight Threatens Flawless Career

As the tumultuous build-up to the fight comes to an end, Devin Haney’s flawless boxing record will be challenged when he faces Ryan Garcia in the ring.

The two Americans will face off at the Barclay Center in New York on Saturday, April 20 in a highly anticipated fight that has generated significant attention because of the heated exchanges between them.

Garcia has been accused by Haney of showing disrespect leading up to their upcoming super lightweight title match. However, ‘The Dream’ is aware that he must remain completely focused in order to prevent a significant upset when the fight begins.

Devin Haney’s Boxing Record

Haney has an impeccable record of 31-0 in boxing. The undefeated native of the Bay Area has demonstrated his skills in various weight classes throughout his professional career.

At the age of 25, he successfully unified all four major titles in the 135-pound weight class (WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO), with his standout victory over Vasiliy Lomachenko in May of last year.

“Before moving up to the junior welterweight class, Haney stated that he had given his all at 135.”

In December, he made his debut in the division and faced Regis Prograis, ultimately emerging victorious in a spectacular fashion.

Despite facing tough opposition from Prograis, Haney’s victory demonstrated his exceptional skills as he confidently secured a unanimous decision from the judges in the ring.

Haney and Garcia’s amateur rivalry began with six fights, each of them winning three matches before their most recent encounter.

Despite the turbulent build-up, Haney should still be more than a match for Garcia when they meet again as professionals.

Haney vs Garcia: Weigh-In Controversy

Despite being a boxing match, Haney’s recent fight against Garcia has garnered attention for reasons unrelated to the sport. This is due to the constant stream of unpredictable remarks made by his opponent both online and in person.

Just days before the fight, tensions peaked when Garcia was unable to meet the 140 pound weight limit, weighing in 3.2 pounds over. While the fight will proceed as planned, Garcia will not be eligible to claim Haney’s WBC title if he emerges victorious. In that case, the junior welterweight belt will remain vacant.

As Garcia stepped onto the scales, it appeared that he was drinking a beer. He later revealed that he had put himself “through hell”to reach the weight he did.

Haney, on the other hand, was not impressed by the conduct of his 25-year-old peer.

“According to ESPN, he reassured, “We are present here and now, and that is all that truly counts.”He expressed concern about his opponent’s unusual behavior, but stated that it would not affect his performance in the ring.”

“I believe he is behaving like a clown. It seems like he is dealing with some personal problems at the moment.”
