Despite its main campaign being the focal point, Diablo 4 has numerous other features to offer. These, however, are only accessible after defeating Lilith for the first time, as Blizzard has cleverly hidden many challenges in the endgame. Adventurers can take on these quests to continue strengthening their characters and keep the world of Sanctuary thriving.
After completing the main campaign in Diablo 4 Season 5, you will have access to a variety of activities.
Diablo 4: New World Tiers for Season 5
Tiers can be changed after completing Diablo 4’s main quest.
After finishing the primary storyline in Diablo 4, players will have the opportunity to raise the world level of Sanctuary. In the endgame, two additional difficulty levels become available: World level 3- Nightmare (recommended for characters level 50 to 70) and World level 4 – Torment (recommended for characters level 70 and above).
Adjusting the World Tiers presents the chance to encounter tougher foes while also obtaining loot that is of superior quality and rarity, including Sacred and Ancestral items.
Complete All Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4
Nightmare Dungeons can only be opened by its specific Sigil.
Once players reach World Level 3 in Diablo 4, they will begin to encounter Nightmare Sigils on the map of Sanctuary. These sigils serve as entrances to Nightmare Dungeons, but they act as keys and cannot be chosen by players. This will require players to keep the sigils in their inventory until they discover which dungeon they unlock, but they can be salvaged after use.
To enter a Nightmare Dungeon, players must right-click on a Nightmare Sigil in their inventory. This will mark the location on the map for easier navigation. Upon completing the dungeon, players will receive two pieces of loot and have the opportunity to upgrade their Glyphs at an altar.
Boost your build with Paragon Board
Each Paragon Board has 6 different types of nodes.
Diablo 4’s Paragon Boards consist of personalized passive skill trees that allow players to enhance their character’s stats and optimize their build. As players progress beyond level 50, they will earn Paragon Points which can be used to unlock additional passive bonuses. It should be noted that builds are limited to a maximum of 220 allocated passives.
By utilizing Glyphs, Wanderers can enhance their Paragon Boards and gain access to new abilities. It is important to note that these boards are tailored to each class and are linked to individual characters.
Experience the Wrath of Diablo 4’s Helltides
Players will receive a notification when a Helltide event starts.
After completing each Act of Diablo 4’s main storyline, players will be granted entry to the Helltide regions. These areas are known for the heightened strength of enemies due to the influence of Hell, and also serve as locations for players to hunt for crystals that unlock special reward caches.
During a Helltide, the affected zones will produce meteors as dangerous environmental obstacles, causing the monster level in the area to rise two levels above the player’s own. By defeating demons during this occurrence, players can obtain Aberrant Cinders which can then be used to unlock Tortured Chests located throughout the region impacted by the Helltide.
Following the Season 3 update, Helltides are now constantly accessible, with only a brief 5-minute break between them. To participate in these events, players must reach World Tier 3 and tackle the Helltide Commanders in Nightmare difficulty, in order to obtain valuable loot.
Unlock new missions in the Tree of Whispers
The Tree of Whisperers functions as a quest board.
In Act 5 of the Diablo 4 campaign, travelers will come across the Tree of Whisperers. Situated in the northeast corner of Hawezar, it is impossible to overlook due to the presence of talking heads dangling from its branches.
After completing the main story, players will receive a Priority Quest to speak with the tree. The tree will then request the gathering of Grim Favors, which can be obtained by completing various missions. It should be noted that each mission rewards a different number of favors.
- Earning +5 Grim Favors by completing a dungeon.
- Gather from a region: Receive an additional +3 Grim Favors.
- Earn +1 Grim Favor by clearing a cellar.
- Gain +1 Grim Favor upon completing the event.
- Kill an elite: +1 Grim Favor.
- Defeating an enemy type grants +1 Grim Favor.
- Completing a Ritual will grant you +3 Grim Favors.
- Completing the challenge of defeating a World Boss will earn you 5 Grim Favors.

Upgrade Your Legendary Affixes in the Codex of Power
Each Aspect can be unlocked after completing a dungeon.
The Codex of Power in Diablo 4 is a compilation of Legendary Aspects and Affixes that can be applied to your items. These upgrades are applicable to both Rare and Legendary items.
Despite being unlocked early in the main story, acquiring all Aspects in Codex of Power may require players to continue playing after completing it. This can be achieved by successfully completing every Dungeon located on Diablo 4’s map.
Defeat All World Bosses
Every Diablo 4 season adds new World Bosses for players to put their builds to the test.
World Bosses are massive demons that appear randomly throughout the map of Sanctuary. While players may come across them during the main campaign, notifications for World Bosses are primarily received during the endgame.
Diablo 4 features three primary World Bosses: Ashava, The Pestilent; Avarice, The Gold Cursed; and Wandering Death, Death Given Life. With each new season, players can expect to encounter new World Bosses, each requiring specific materials to be summoned. The Horn of Trials serves as the entry point to the Gauntlet.
Farm Uniques in The Pit
The Pit challenges players to navigate a multi-level dungeon with increasing difficulty across various tiers, all within a strict time limit. The ultimate objective of The Pit is to eliminate as many foes as possible, including a final boss, within 15 minutes.
As players defeat enemies, a progress bar will gradually fill up. When the bar reaches its maximum capacity, a portal will materialize, leading to a random boss that must be defeated within the allotted time in order to successfully finish the run and receive the Mastery Bonus.
This endgame mode is a highly effective choice for obtaining Masterworking materials, as well as Legendary and Unique items.
