During a single Infernal Horde run, a Diablo 4 player managed to accumulate hundreds of millions of Gold, almost causing the game to crash.
Despite facing a few challenges and being dubbed the “Season of Infernal Bugs”by players, Diablo 4 Season 5 has still managed to keep people engaged with its wave-based activity, Infernal Hordes.
Some have hailed Infernal Hordes as the greatest addition to Diablo 4, surpassing even the Artificer’s Pit as the ultimate endgame challenge. With this in mind, players now have yet another reason to rave about the Infernal Hordes.
In the Diablo 4 subreddit, CaineMoon, a user on Reddit, shared their experience of completing a legendary Infernal Hordes run. They managed to accumulate over 1,000 Burning Aether and sold it for a staggering 148 million gold. The sudden influx of currency caused their game to almost crash.

It can be confidently stated that the Gold-related problems that were present in Diablo 4’s endgame during Season 4 have been effectively resolved. By including Gold as a possible reward in Infernal Hordes, players now have the option to obtain large quantities of this resource whenever they require it.
On the Diablo 4 Subreddit, players celebrated Blizzard’s decision as a significant move towards eliminating the issue of black market Gold sales that has been causing problems within the community.
According to the original poster, including the option for obtaining large amounts of gold quickly and easily in the Infernal Hordes is causing gold to lose its value as a currency in trade.
However, there is still the concern that pushing your Gold farming to extreme levels may result in the possibility of crashing Diablo 4. Some players have reported crashes on PlayStation 5 when repeatedly using the Spoils of Hell for Gold.
While it may be tempting to replicate CaineMoon’s extensive farm, we suggest limiting yourself based on the capabilities of your hardware.
