The March of the Goblins event in Diablo 4 is scheduled to make a triumphant comeback.
The March of the Goblins event, originally scheduled for March, will now be held in June 2024 in celebration of the game’s first anniversary. It appears that Blizzard is reviving the event for Season 5 as a finale to the ongoing Mother’s Blessing event.
Despite the rocky start of Mother’s Blessing and its accompanying Patch 1.5.1, the announcement of the goblins’ return is sure to be welcomed by players. So, what exactly is the March of the Goblins event and will it be enough to draw players away from the highly addictive Infernal Hordes?

Season 5 March of the Goblins for Diablo 4
The current March of the Goblins event will begin on August 27 at 10 AM PDT and conclude on September 3 at 10 AM PDT. This seven-day event provides ample opportunity to acquire additional loot and Gold.
Please be aware that the Mother’s Blessing event has been extended until August 28. As a result, during the first two days of the March of the Goblins event, you will also receive the EXP and Gold buffs graciously provided by Lilith.
Whole packs of Treasure Goblins will descend on Sanctuary for March of the Goblins.
March of the Goblins – Event Details
Similarly to previous occasions, the March of the Goblins event will bring an influx of Treasure Goblins to Sanctuary. There may even be instances where they can be spotted in pairs, a rare occurrence exclusive to events like this.
During March of the Goblins, in addition to an increase in Treasure Goblin sightings, you will have a higher chance of coming across Shrines of Greed. As a part of the event, activating a Shrine of Greed will summon Treasure Goblins, providing the opportunity to collect a plethora of loot from these treasure-filled creatures if you act swiftly.
This time, Blizzard has introduced a new element to the March of the Goblins event. Defeating the world boss Avarice the Gold-Cursed will result in a swarm of Treasure Goblins emerging from portals, reminiscent of a dark interpretation of Avengers: Endgame.

Players will now have an additional incentive to defeat Avarice outside of the weekly cache. Remember to join Diablo 4 as soon as the March of the Goblins event starts to make the most of the 50% Gold boost from Mother’s Blessing.
