Diablo 4 Players Call for Inclusion of Simple UI Feature to Enhance Immersion

According to Diablo 4 players, a straightforward modification to the UI while riding a horse could greatly enhance the navigation experience throughout their playthroughs.

The developers of Diablo 4 have implemented numerous modifications in Season 4, completely overhauling various aspects of the game including gear upgrades, Codex improvements, and more. Although the majority of players are satisfied, they are eagerly anticipating a resolution for horse navigation issues.

In order to stay on the right path in Diablo 4, it is essential to always keep an eye on the minimap. However, the main map does provide a guiding line on the minimap when a location is tracked, but there is no indication on the overworld.

‘MonkeDiesTwice’ expressed their dissatisfaction with the fact that they often found themselves constantly staring at the minimap while riding their horse in the Diablo 4 subreddit. According to the Reddit user, this prevented them from truly appreciating and experiencing the various environments in the game as they moved around.

Navigating to various locations could be made easier with an in-game marker.

Adding the guiding line on the minimap in the overworld itself could resolve this entire issue, as demonstrated in Diablo Immortal. This feature allows players to see highlighted footsteps that guide them to their destination.

“I completely agree,”stated a D4 player, as their peers looked to popular RPG games such as The Witcher 3 and Ghost of Tsushima for inspiration on how to display navigation on horseback in the game’s map.

One player expressed their disappointment with how Blizzard has not provided a better alternative to the minimap navigation in Diablo 4, stating that it is a shame to overlook the amazing game environment while being focused on a small box to play the game.

Despite not being the most severe problem in the game, the developers have been actively addressing and resolving issues, resulting in a positive response from the player base. Adding a tracking alternative on the in-game terrain would greatly enhance the overall experience of Diablo 4.
