Diablo 4 Players Criticize Lack of Unique Items

The Diablo 4 player base is unhappy with how Unique items work in the game and says they are missing a pretty obvious feature.

Diablo 4 is all about loot; collect loot, sell loot, trade loot and use loot to upgrade your character and build to kill more demons.

However, the game has certainly encountered its share of criticism when it comes to its loot systems, including Unique items.

These items are designed to feel special when obtained, something players feel is missing due to the lack of a fairly fundamental feature.

Diablo 4 fans believe Unique items are missing an essential feature

The review can be found on the Diablo 4 subreddit, in a post that explains it all: “Unique items should have a unique appearance.”

The player explains that he feels frustrated by the fact that Unique items don’t seem any different from normal skins.

Largely, the community agrees with this point, and they don’t hold back on what this means for the game as a whole.

“Nah, you’re right, they missed the mark almost everywhere, and it’s our job to tell them as much.”

One user was a little more biting in their comment, saying: “Relax, that’s how it is with Early Access games, especially when they’re F2P with just some cosmetic MTX. I’m sure they will have unique graphics in version 1.0.”

While many are shaking their heads at this situation, some are more reassuring about how this will play out in the future.

“During one of the Fireside chats, they agreed that this should be the case and that it will happen at some point.”

The problem with this statement is that no timetable has been given on when this feature might be brought to Diablo 4.

Many players point to games like World of Warcraft and Path of Exile as examples of how Unique items should work, giving the player a special appearance that they can show off to others.

This is something the community clearly sees as missing, and something they feel is just another problem for developers to fix.
