Diablo 4 PTR Community Urges Blizzard for Significant Level 60 Adjustment

Diablo 4’s Public Test Realm (PTR) for the upcoming 2.0 update has players eagerly requesting a significant change: an option to instantly create level 60 characters.

Since the game’s release, seasonal players have repeatedly started with level 0 characters, undergoing the same grind multiple times to reach a certain level and unlock new content. It’s understandable that they are now advocating for a quicker way to bypass the grinding process.

As excitement builds for the 2.0 PTR for Diablo 4’s sixth season, set to launch fully in October, players have been sharing their frustrations.

A player in the Diablo 4 forum expressed that the leveling experience in the PTR is “just bad,” stating, “Why do we even need this leveling? Just make a button to create a level 60 character already.”

Feedback has been pouring in, revealing a clear consensus among players. One noted, “Starting a character from scratch without seasonal questlines makes it feel as if there’s nothing to do except run Helltides over and over.”

Helltides serve as a primary method for farming experience points in Diablo 4; however, they have been featured since Season 4, meaning Blizzard hasn’t introduced a fresh early-game feature. As another player commented, “What was already laborious is made worse by the slow pace.”

Another player echoed similar sentiments: “I’m not enjoying the leveling experience of the PTR so far. It feels really slow and tedious.”

Players have been engaged in the 2.0 PTR from September 4 to September 11, allowing them to explore the new changes, including an updated character selection screen, although content from the Vessel of Hatred expansion is not included.

With a new difficulty system, an improved level cap, and a completely revamped paragon system, Diablo 4’s 2.0 update promises to shake up the experience to the extent that it feels like an entirely new game for its player base.
