If you’re interested in experiencing Diablo 4’s Infernal Hordes, check out the newly-added Hellbreach Dungeons in Season 5. These dungeons serve as your initial introduction to the endgame content and feature a final boss fight, as well as rewarding players with Burning Aethers.
Hellbreach Dungeons in Diablo 4
Your first step towards confronting the dangers of the Infernal Hordes this season will be to venture into the Hellbreach Dungeons. These Dungeons are located throughout Sanctuary, just like any other Dungeons, and can be explored at your leisure.
Similarly to NMDs, they differ from the other Dungeons in Diablo 4 in that they also grant Burning Aether as you navigate and ultimately defeat the final boss. Much like Infernal Hordes, you can later exchange your Aethers for rewards upon completion.
Hellbreach Dungeons give you a taste of Infernal Hordes.
However, confronting the final boss is not a straightforward task, as you must first make a crucial decision regarding the Infernal Offering. You will be presented with three Banes & Boons and must choose one to increase the challenge of the ultimate battle.
If you opt for a more challenging difficulty, you will receive higher rewards than the default option. Therefore, remember this before making your decision. Lastly, make sure to use all of your Burning Aethers on the end Chests as they will be permanently removed once you exit the Dungeon.
Should You Increase the Difficulty in Hellbreach Dungeons?
It is advisable to raise the difficulty level before confronting the final boss in Hellbreach Dungeons. In Diablo 4, if your build is strong enough to easily progress through the mid-game stages, it is highly recommended to select the superior Infernal Offering.
With the rise in the quantity of Legendaries and Uniques during Season 5, there is a greater chance of finding top-tier Hellish Uniques in the game. By increasing the difficulty and preparing yourself to confront the true Infernal Hordes, you can stumble upon these valuable items.
The fifth season offers a variety of difficult tasks, so it is important to be prepared with top-notch builds and carefully select the appropriate Unique items for your journey.
