The upcoming Diablo 4 Season 5 will bring about significant changes to the game, with the transformation of Uber Uniques into Mythic Uniques being a major highlight. This guide will provide a comprehensive overview of all the modifications made to the most sought-after gear in the game.
The much-anticipated reveal of Diablo 4 Season 5 has finally arrived, and it appears that the season will build upon the overwhelming success of Season 4. The extensive patch notes, consisting of over 10,000 words, outline significant alterations to the fundamental gameplay of Diablo 4.
Blizzard has made several commitments for Season 5, including adjustments to World Boss difficulty and the inclusion of bosses from Diablo 2. The highly anticipated Infernal Hordes mode will also be a key feature. Additionally, there will be significant updates made to Uniques, making it one of the most exciting changes in the upcoming season.
The most powerful gear in Diablo 4, previously known as Uber Uniques, has undergone a significant transformation and is now referred to as Mythic Uniques. This guide will provide an in-depth analysis of all the modifications made to these newly named items in Diablo 4.
Mythic Uniques in Season 5 of Diablo 4
Although the stats and designation of these pieces of gear are changing, the names will remain the same in Diablo 4. Fans of the game will be happy to know that the eight Mythic Uniques, formerly known as Uber Uniques, will still be included. See the list below:
- Ring of Starless Skies (Ring)
- Doombringer (One-Handed Sword)
- Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander (Staff)
- The Grandfather (Two-Handed Sword)
- Melted Heart of Selig (Amulet)
- Tyrael’s Might (Chest Armor)
- Andariel’s Visage (Head Armor)
- Harlequin Crest (Head Armor)
Although each of them was already powerful in their own right, Blizzard wants to take them to the next level. The following changes will be implemented to enhance each item and give them a new status as Mythical Uniques in Diablo 4 Season 5.
Ring of Starless Skies
Despite remaining unchanged in its Unique Aspect, the Ring of Starless Skies has undergone alterations to its Affixes in order to better serve players in the post-Season 4 version of Diablo 4. It now offers improved Attack Speed, Core Skill levels, and Lucky Hit chance, and its base increase to Critical Strike damage has doubled.
The Dark Lord: Doombringer
Doombringer has sacrificed its Core Skill and Critical Strike damage boost in exchange for a 100% increase in overall damage. Additionally, it has been granted enhancements to its Maximum Life bonus and the healing effect on Lucky Hit.
Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander
The viability of Elemental Druids is set to greatly improve thanks to Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander’s significant enhancements to Critical Strike, Vulnerable, and Overpower damage, with a staggering increase of 159.5%. Furthermore, it now provides a boost to Movement Speed, Resource Generation, and overall stats.
The Grandfather
The new Mythic Unique version of The Grandfather has increased its Maximum Life and Stat boosts. In addition to keeping its previous damage enhancements, it now offers a formidable 300% increase in total damage. If you are able to wield a Two-Handed Sword, this should be your weapon of choice.
Melted Heart of Selig
The Selig’s Melted Heart will be enhanced with stronger elemental resistance, Movement Speed, and Resource Generation Affixes. Additionally, players can now enjoy a higher cap for elemental resistance and a transformation from increased damage to increased resistance while in good health.
Tyrael’s Might
The Mythic Unique version of Tyrael’s Might, like The Grandfather, does not suffer from Durability loss. Although it no longer has stat enhancements, it does gain additional defensive benefits such as resistance boosts and improvements to its existing defensive Aspects.
Andariel’s Face
Andariel’s Visage has received buffs in its existing Life regain, Attack Speed, and Stat boosts. The most significant change, however, is the increased Poison Resistance cap, which has been raised from 60% to a whopping 666% to align with the unique features of Diablo 4.
Harlequin Crest
We thought the Shako couldn’t possibly get any more desirable, but the new Mythic Unique version from Blizzard has proven us wrong. It boasts an increase in Maximum Life, Maximum Resource, and more than double its base Cooldown Reduction. We are now consumed with the hunt for this coveted item.
These are the updates to the new Mythic Uniques in Diablo 4, which will be accessible upon the release of Season 5 on August 6, 2024. For those who do not wish to pursue these items, the developers are also introducing over 50 new Legendary Aspects for players to use in their builds.
