The Infernal Compasses in Diablo 4 Season 5 are causing players to experience PTSD from the clutter in their inventory.
The fight for Sanctuary in Diablo 4 Season 5 is intensifying as the Prime Evils unleash waves of demons to engage in warfare. Blizzard has loaded this season with fresh content, such as Hellbreach Dungeons to conquer, a Battle Pass to complete, and Mythic Uniques to obtain through farming.
The main attraction of this season is the Infernal Hordes, which players have hailed as the top addition to Diablo 4. To unlock them, players must obtain Infernal Compasses, but this new key item has brought back an old problem.
A Reddit thread has been flooded with complaints from Diablo 4 players regarding the excessive space that Infernal Compasses are occupying in their designated inventory tab. Some players have even resorted to begging Blizzard to implement a feature that allows these items to stack.

Despite being in the early stages of its release, Diablo 4 was already facing major player frustrations due to inventory space issues.
The addition of Diablo 4 Season 5’s Infernal Compasses has caused a slight regression in the game. These items come in various versions, each providing access to different levels of Infernal Hordes, and are quickly filling up the Elixir tab.
A Diablo 4 player begged Blizzard to find a solution for the overwhelming number of items they have encountered. Despite deleting over 50 items, there seems to be no end in sight. The player requested for the items to either stack or for Blizzard to provide a storage option with more than 50 slots.
One user expressed frustration in a thread about the lack of stacking for items of the same tier and questioned the reasoning behind the game design. Another player suggested the creation of a new tab specifically for seasonal items and boss ingredients, as it seemed chaotic to have them all in one tab along with Nightmare Dungeon Sigils and Elixirs.
Infernal Compasses can be salvaged for materials and utilized in the creation of higher-tier versions, allowing you to reach your desired Infernal Horde level. However, this process does require a considerable amount of effort, especially if you intend to extensively grind the new content.
