Season 6 Release Date

Diablo 4 Season 6 will commence on October 8, 2024—the same day that the Vessel of Hatred DLC is launched.

There’s currently no information available regarding its end date.

What Do We Know About Season 6?

While we await the official title and theme for Season 6, it’s anticipated to be closely related to Vessel of Hatred. Leaks from the PTR suggest that Season 6 may be dubbed the Season of Hatred, correlating with Mephisto’s return.

We wouldn’t be surprised if this season’s narrative takes players to Kurast and highlights the brand new Spiritborn class. Given the major story update included in the Vessel of Hatred expansion, we expect Seasonal Journey quests to interlink with this update, yet function as a separate narrative.

Players will likely have the opportunity to engage with these quests either prior to or following the campaign update, making them a side story much akin to earlier seasonal quests.

We can also confidently predict enhancements to the Helltide event and the introduction of brand new Uniques and Legendary Aspects. Many of these updates will focus on the Spiritborn class, but other classes will also receive considerable attention. For instance, the campfire chat that took place on August 29, 2024, confirmed that all classes are set to receive new passive skills that will transform builds as we currently understand them.

As the DLC rolls out with the new mercenaries for hire feature, this may influence the seasonal content in various ways. It’s expected that these dynamics will be activated through several smaller side quests; however, as of now, Blizzard has yet to clarify how this mechanic will function within both campaign and seasonal play.

The Season 6 PTR is scheduled to run from September 4-11, promising to reveal further details about what to expect.
