Diablo 4 Season 7 Users Report Issues with Bugged Barbarian Unique Item

Players of Diablo 4 have raised concerns about a critical bug affecting the newly implemented Barbarian Unique item introduced during Season 7. The update, launched on January 21, presented a witchcraft theme, offering gamers fresh abilities to master and enjoy within the game.

As part of the latest seasonal update, players gained access to a wealth of new Unique items, ensuring that each of the six character classes received at least one enhancement. Among these additions, Barbarian players were particularly excited about a chest armor piece named Mantle of Mountain’s Fury. This unique piece significantly supports builds centered around Hammer of the Ancients and Earthquake, with its unique ability stating that “any Earthquakes the hammer passes through explode for their total damage and are consumed.”

Issues with the Barbarian Unique: A Frustrating Discovery

Unfortunately, players have discovered that the new armor does not function as designed. Renowned Diablo content creator Rob2628 highlighted this issue during a recent Twitch stream. He demonstrated that explosions triggered by the Earthquake ability fail to inflict any damage on enemies.

“The chest doesn’t work, it explodes the Earthquakes but it doesn’t do any damage,”

the streamer commented, referring to the Mantle of Mountain’s Fury.

Numerous other players diving into Season 7 content have reported similar difficulties, suggesting that this oversight could be widespread. One player elaborated on a Blizzard Feedback post on Reddit, stating, “New unique chest for barbarian is bugged. The explosion does 0 damage.”

In another discussion thread, a different player noted that they had previously experienced the item functioning correctly during the Season 7 Public Test Realm (PTR). This has left many players wondering about the sudden malfunction post-update.

The Season 7 update brought a total of eight Unique items, ensuring that each character class received one, while both the Necromancer and Sorcerer benefited from two new items each. As of now, it remains uncertain whether this bug affects any other Unique items that were between the PTR and the full release of the update.
