Did ADOR Demand NewJeans Videos Be Deleted? ADOR Denies Claims, Clashes with Dolphiners Films

On Sep 2nd, director Shin Woo-seok announced on his SNS that there has been a change in policies at ADOR under the new management. As a result, at the request of ADOR, all NewJeans music videos and related content produced and uploaded by Dolphiners Films will no longer be available for public viewing, including any planned future releases.

“He stressed that Dolphiners Films and the Ban Heesoo YouTube channel function mainly as a repository for our body of work, with no financial gain being derived from them. The creation of these videos and channels was a voluntary effort to provide quality content for fans, and Dolphiners Films does not reap any profits from them.”

Shin stated, “In response to ADOR’s request for the removal of the videos, all content has been removed and cannot be shared publicly. This has also resulted in the cancellation of our planned future projects with NewJeans. I deeply regret the impact this has had on the hardworking staff and especially on the fans who were eagerly anticipating our collaborations.”

In response, ADOR issued a statement on September 3rd, denying the claims. They clarified that the version of the “ETA”music video director’s cut uploaded by Dolphiners Films to their social media platforms was edited to include content that had previously been disputed with an advertiser. This version was posted without proper consultation with the advertiser.

They clarified, “Our request was solely for the removal of the director’s cut video and did not involve the deletion or suspension of any other NewJeans-related videos, including those on the Ban Heesoo channel. ADOR’s channel management policy remains unchanged. Director Shin Woo-seok of Dolphiners Films is falsely implying that we requested the deletion of all NewJeans-related videos, which includes the Ban Heesoo channel. We are disappointed by Dolphiners Films’ disregard for our contract and spreading of misinformation.”

In conclusion, ADOR declared that they would implement measures to guarantee that the removed NewJeans content can be uploaded onto their official channels in the future.
