Did ADOR Use Bots to Boost Sales of NewJeans?

A recent post on WWD Korea’s official Instagram account featured NewJeans’ Haerin and Dior’s latest campaign.

Despite the fact that the comment sections were initially focused on a particular NewJeans member, Hyein’s name began to be mentioned by multiple commenters. What was even stranger was that these posts all seemed to use the same word combinations, despite incorrectly identifying Hyein as the subject.

Upon inspecting the accounts responsible for posting these comments, it becomes apparent that the majority of them have empty profiles and lack any form of engagement or interaction.

Consequently, numerous netizens began to question whether ADOR was utilizing bots to artificially promote posts about NewJeans, despite mistakenly using the wrong name this time.

It is worth noting that a post discussing the possibility of bot usage has received nearly 300,000 views on the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter).

Despite this, there are suspicions that the bots are not a genuine effort from ADOR. It has been revealed that WWD Korea’s account receives similar comments on posts about other idols, further fueling these suspicions.
