Winter, a member of aespa, recently shared messages of encouragement that she received from both her brother and father. However, these messages raised doubts among fans, as some believed that Winter’s father was indirectly criticizing HYBE and its founder, Bang Si Hyuk.
On May 8, 2024, Winter dedicated some time to connecting with her fans through the paid fan communication platform Bubble. During their conversation, Winter disclosed that she had received messages of encouragement from both her father and brother.
She remembered her brother’s offer to assist her when she was tired, recalling his words on Instagram, “Didn’t he promise to take care of everything for me?”
Winter had previously shared some of her struggles on social media. In response, her brother sent her a heartfelt message saying, “Why are you going through so much, toltol (Winter’s nickname)? I am here to take care of everything for you.”
Winter then disclosed that her father had read her brother’s message and had responded with a message of his own. In her father’s message, he exclaimed, “I will!!!! Crush them all!!!! My daughter!!!!”
Despite the seemingly innocent message, many were eager to jump to the conclusion that Winter’s dad was subtly criticizing HYBE’s founder, Bang Si Hyuk.

In a message exchange, Bang Si Hyuk inquired with Min Hee Jin about the readiness of NewJeans to debut, posing the question, “Can you dominate aespa?”Min Hee Jin was taken aback by the question and responded with a simple “Hahaha.”The ADOR CEO clarified that she is not one to intentionally harm others.
Despite having no involvement in the ongoing feud between Min Hee Jin and HYBE, the group found themselves embroiled in a controversy. This posed a slight issue as both aespa and NewJeans have their comebacks scheduled at the same time, resulting in a heated competition.
Upon reading the message from Winter’s father, fans responded with words of encouragement and support in the comments section.

As reported, aespa has announced the release of their debut studio album, titled “Armageddon,”on May 27. Prior to the album release, the group will also drop a pre-release single, “Supernova,”on May 13. The official release of their second single, “Armageddon,”will coincide with the album’s launch.
