Fans noticed a nod to BLACKPINK in BABYMONSTER’s teaser for their upcoming music video “FOREVER.”
On June 25, 2024, YG Entertainment unveiled the teaser for BABYMONSTER’s music video “FOREVER,”signaling their comeback just three months after their official re-debut.
The video teaser showcases a glamorous setting in a luxurious hotel, in contrast to the chic and dark tone seen in the first few photo teasers, with all seven members exuding a sophisticated and glamorous presence.
In the preview, the two eldest members of the group, Chiquita and Ruka, stand out with their captivating appearances, combining strong personalities with irresistible charm.
Moreover, BABYMONSTER’s fanbase became intrigued by a scene in which six members were somberly gathered around Pharita.
The background track in the teaser, enhanced with captivating beats, garnered significant acclaim. This raised expectations among fans that YG Entertainment is finally investing in improving BABYMONSTER’s image.
Despite facing criticism for its outdated appearance, the previous poster was praised for its modern sound, which was seen as a sign of promise.

The reception for the heavy drumbeat in “FOREVER”was mixed. While some pointed out its similarities to BLACKPINK’s popular song “DDU-DU DDU-DU,”others argued that the tracks have distinct differences. Fans also noticed an interesting detail in the teaser, the reappearance of a bag labeled “BABYMONSTER”from a pre-debut BLACKPINK photo.

Despite the edited photos posted by YG Entertainment in 2016, PSY also shared them to promote BLACKPINK, as he was still part of the same company at that time.
Despite PSY’s post, the BABYMONSTESR logo remains visible on the bag.
This sparked theories among fans, as some questioned whether this was intentional or simply a result of the company reusing props.
