Recently, Rosé from BLACKPINK released her latest solo track titled “APT.” , collaborating with the internationally renowned Bruno Mars. Since the release, she has been actively sharing additional content related to the song.
In a recent interview with Z100, the talented idol was asked about her thoughts on performing on stage.
In her response, Rosé admitted, “Honestly, since I’ve only had 2 songs released in my career and not 12, I feel like I need to experience it a bit more.”
Rosé expressed her enthusiasm about experimenting with her music and is eager to share her new songs with fans, but only when the timing feels appropriate.
This sentiment, especially her subtle criticism about YG Entertainment limiting her to just 2 solo tracks (excluding those on BLACKPINK projects), has sparked frustration among netizens and fans. Many believe that YG has restricted BLACKPINK’s creative expression while allowing greater freedom for their male artists.
One fan commented, “Watching them shine this year, I truly don’t see why YGE/Teddy held them back. It’s evident they can thrive on their own. Why not grant them the same creative liberties as their male counterparts?”
Another user lamented, “It’s unfortunate that you’ve only had this few songs as a solo artist after so many years. Shame on YG.”
Furthermore, during the same discussion, Rosé took a moment to express her gratitude towards her fellow BLACKPINK members, who consistently provide her with unwavering support in her individual projects.
