Recently, a media outlet reported that j-hope had purchased a 12 billion KRW (approximately 9 million USD) penthouse in a luxurious apartment complex in Seoul, paying the entire amount in cash. It was further disclosed that he had also bought another unit on the floor below the penthouse a month later.
Based on the report, j-hope finalized the purchase of the lower-floor unit in June 2020 and made the full payment in July, effectively obtaining ownership. These apartments are currently valued at 11 to 12 billion KRW (around 8.3 to 9 million USD) in the current market. As he did not utilize a mortgage, it is estimated that j-hope made a cash payment of over 20 billion KRW (approximately 15 million USD) for the two apartments.
J-hope’s latest purchase of luxury real estate is not his first, as he has previously acquired two other high-end apartments.
In the meantime, j-hope has been serving as an active-duty soldier since April 18, 2023, and is expected to complete his military service this October.
