At first, she successfully pushes Katana Man backward, but then Akane’s Snake Devil consumes the Ghost Devil entirely. As a result, Himeno’s physical form disappears, leaving behind only her clothing.
How Himeno’s Selfless Act Saved Aki in the Moment
The loss of Himeno was a devastating moment for devoted fans of the series. Her character possessed immense potential and could have greatly enriched the storyline had she not met her fate. Despite initially seeming like Himeno’s brave step only saved Aki in the moment, later developments in the story reveal that it continued to have a positive impact. Her feelings for him were unwavering and her determination to keep him alive proved to be a powerful force in saving him once again during a difficult situation.
Despite being formed by Makima, the new Special Division 4 launched an attack on Katana Man and Akane’s base. In the midst of the chaos, Aki came face-to-face with Akane and had to confront the Ghost Devil she had summoned. Despite feeling nervous at first, Aki was able to calm himself down with the help of Himeno’s memory. He then noticed that Himeno’s right arm was emerging from the Devil’s body, holding a cigarette with the words ‘Easy Revenge’ written on it.
Despite feeling completely calm, he faced the Ghost Devil with no fear. This hindered the Devil’s ability to sense him, allowing him to climb on top and behead it. This event served as proof that Himeno’s influence still remained, empowering Aki to conquer his own fears and defeat the Ghost Devil.
