On April 23, a representative from HYBE released a statement confirming that executive Min Hee-jin had been trying to meet with investors since the end of last year in order to seek independence with NewJeans. Despite this, HYBE initially took no action. However, after witnessing the support of the members and their parents for CEO Min, they ultimately decided to take action out of concern for a potential repeat of the FIFTY FIFTY situation.
Additionally, it was revealed that the conflict between HYBE and Min Hee-jin began in March, when an internal document created by the vice-president of ADOR and Min Hee-jin’s trusted colleague was uncovered.
The document disclosed objectives such as “protecting us from HYBE’s influence”and “escaping entirely”. Moreover, it was discovered that A had attempted to obtain a significant quantity of confidential information related to HYBE.
On the contrary, Min Hee-jin remains steadfast in her denial of HYBE’s allegations and maintains that she has no intention of assuming control of ADOR’s managerial rights from HYBE.
