The spoilers released on Thursday for chapter 261 of Jujutsu Kaisen revealed the enigmatic identity of the individual who appeared as Satoru Gojo, and it turned out to be none other than Yuta Okkotsu.
By consuming Kenjaku’s body, Rika enabled Yuta to inherit the ancient sorcerer’s Cursed Technique of body-hopping. Thus, when Yuta was fatally injured by Sukuna, he was able to utilize Kenjaku’s CT and transfer into Gojo’s body, with assistance from Arata Nitta and Shoko Ieiri.
Despite this, Yuta’s actions may have put his life in danger. According to the spoilers, he is only able to use the technique for five minutes while Rika is fully manifested.
There is a high likelihood that the sorcerer will perish once the five minutes have elapsed. If that does not happen, then the sorcerer may find themselves inhabiting Gojo’s body. In any scenario, Yuta’s fate appears grim in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Exploring Yuta’s fate in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261
According to the spoilers for chapter 261 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuta Okkotsu’s fate is on the line. It was disclosed that the enigmatic individual masquerading as Gojo was, in fact, Yuta inhabiting Gojo’s body.
The sorcerer displayed Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique, where he took control of his late mentor’s body to use as a weapon in his fight against Sukuna. Surprisingly, it was revealed that after the clash with Kenjaku, Rika consumed the ancient sorcerer’s body in order to mimic his body-hopping ability.
Despite opposition from many, Yuta remained determined to take over Satoru Gojo’s body in the event of the sorcerer’s death while fighting Sukuna. He argued that the threat was too great and that sacrificing their humanity temporarily was necessary to defeat Sukuna.
Despite Yuta’s plan being well-thought-out, there are some complexities involved. As per the spoilers, Yuta is only able to utilize the copy technique when Rika is actively present or fully manifested, and its effects only last for five minutes. This raises the question of what will happen to Yuta once the five minutes have elapsed.
Mei Mei discloses three potential outcomes. If Kenjaku’s Cursed Technique necessitates continuous activation, Yuta will be unable to sustain the equilibrium between his body and soul after the five minutes pass, resulting in his death.
Secondly, Mei Mei believes that Kenjaku’s ability can only be activated intermittently. In this scenario, Yuta’s immediate death would not occur, but it would only be a matter of time before he meets his demise. The third possibility is a dire outcome for Yuta.
Mei Mei believes that if Kenjaku’s body-hopping ability only needs to be activated once, then Yuta can still perform the Limitless technique after five minutes. However, he will be permanently trapped in Satoru Gojo’s body, as his original body will be discarded.
In a flashback, Mei Mei discussed the assumptions that were made. The spoilers also revealed that Yuta Okkotsu had been fatally wounded by Sukuna, rendering his original body irreparable. As a result, he was left with no choice but to proceed with the horrific plan.
At this point, it is uncertain whether Yuta will survive. However, it is highly unlikely that he will be able to regain his original body, as it has been severely damaged and even his Reverse Cursed Technique cannot fix it. This injury is reminiscent of the one Gojo sustained, where he was cut in half vertically.
If Yuta had not proceeded with his plan, he would have faced a similar fate as his teacher. However, based on the current circumstances, there is a possibility that Yuta may be trapped inside Gojo’s body permanently if Mei Mei’s third assumption proves to be true.
Conclusion
Despite his best efforts, it appears that Yuta Okkotsu’s destiny in Jujutsu Kaisen is one of bleakness. His fate was sealed even if he did not possess Gojo’s body, as he would have perished regardless. Although there remains a small chance for the sorcerer to survive, his physical state is dire and he may be forced to inhabit Satoru Gojo’s body indefinitely.
Nevertheless, the possibility of him succumbing is greater, particularly given the current direction of the story. Therefore, it is still uncertain which path Gege Akutami will take with Yuta Okkotsu in Jujutsu Kaisen.
