While the PC version features the classic elements of a standard RE Engine release, it lacks the ability to toggle all post-processing effects off. How to Disable Chromatic Aberration in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
Although Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster does not offer an in-game option to turn off chromatic aberration, you can easily deactivate it by editing the configuration file.
Here’s a comparison illustrating the cleaner appearance when chromatic aberration is disabled.
- Navigate to the installation directory of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster on your PC.
- Open the Config.ini file with a text editor like Notepad or Notepad++.
- Within the [RenderConfig] section, modify the following variable’s value to 0:
PCGraphicsLensDistortion=0
- Save the Config.ini file (using Ctrl + S) and close it.
When you relaunch the game, the effect will be completely turned off. This change is particularly noticeable in the main menu, where many UI elements use the effect excessively.
