Disappointment over upcoming Falink Raid Day for Pokemon Go players

Many trainers are disappointed with the announcement of Falink as the star of Pokemon Go’s next Raid Day, especially since it comes after much more exciting ‘mon have been featured.

In previous events, Raid Days have primarily featured newly added, rare, and strong Pokemon in the mobile game. However, the upcoming event on September 8 will highlight Gen 8’s Formation Pokemon.

Despite the announcement, players remain unimpressed. Falinks is not a highly sought after or powerful Pokemon, and the only new thing being introduced is its Shiny variant.

The general feelings of the community can be summarized by a popular meme that was shared on the PokemonGo subreddit.

The image showcases other popular 2024 Raid Day personalities, including Mega Lucario, Primal Groudon, and Primal Kyorge, further emphasizing Niantic’s disappointing decision. These three Pokemon are highly sought after and well-received by players, with Lucario’s Mega Evolution being recently introduced in the game’s latest event.

On the other hand, choosing Falinks may seem unusual. While the upcoming Max Out season will introduce more Pokemon and features from the often overlooked Galar region, there are also many other memorable creatures from Gen 8 to consider.

One commenter expressed, “To be honest, I was feeling down because my D&D session coincided with the raid day. However, after the announcement, I am not as sad anymore.”

Despite not being alone in their somewhat positive outlook, another person mentioned, “We can still shift our attention towards shiny hunting zacian and collecting XL candies for groudon/kyogre. Otherwise, I would have to spend a substantial amount of raid passes within a single month.”

The upcoming Falinks Raid Day differs from the more thrilling content of Max Out, which has received great praise from players. In fact, one commenter expressed their excitement for the addition of Dreepy in 10km eggs during the Go All Out event.

Despite this, not everyone was completely upset about the selection of Falinks. As one player expressed, “Honestly, I’m glad we have a raid day that I can easily do on my own.”

Despite Falinks being a three-star boss, most previous Raid Days have centered around four and five-star bosses. This means that the event will still be relatively manageable for Pokemon Go players to take part in.
