Discord has begun introducing the ICYMI tab, which offers users a fresh method to catch up on updates from their preferred servers while they’re not active, and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive.
Over the past few years, this popular messaging platform has consistently rolled out new features, though not every update has garnered favorable reviews from its community.
The most recent mobile interface, unveiled in December 2023, faced significant backlash, leading many users to express their dissatisfaction on social media, resulting in a wave of canceled Nitro subscriptions.
In contrast, the ICYMI tab for Discord’s mobile app is being welcomed by iPhone users, marking a shift in reception.
This feature allows users to customize their experience by selecting which servers appear in their feed. You can easily add or remove servers from the list or determine the frequency of their appearance. Moreover, it also allows for the selection of specific channels to be included in the ICYMI updates.

According to Discord’s FAQ page, this feature is deemed “experimental” and is currently accessible to a limited number of English-speaking users in the US using iOS.
Nevertheless, excitement is buzzing on social media platforms, with many users expressing their enthusiasm for the rollout of this feature.
One user commented, “Discord is finally making great updates,” while another added, “This is a fantastic update, thanks for that, Discord.”
“I needed this more than anyone,” expressed a representative from OTK’s talent company.
If you are among those who gain access but wish to deactivate this feature, you can do so by navigating to User Settings > Advanced > and toggling the “Hide ICYMI tab” option.
It remains unclear when this feature will be available to a broader audience throughout the United States, but updates will be provided as they arise.
Discord is not the only application undergoing significant changes; on October 16, YouTube announced it would be moving the Sleep Timer feature out from the Premium barrier, allowing all users to set a timer that disables the app once they doze off.
