Discover Atomic Samurai’s Epic Display in New Character Visual for One Punch Man Season 3

The official website for One Punch Man season 3 revealed the character visual for Kamikaze, or Atomic Samurai, on Friday, September 6, 2024. The new illustration, created by Ryosuke Shirakawa, one of the character designers for the upcoming anime, was unveiled on the same day.

Despite the release of One Punch Man season 2 in the Spring 2019 anime season, the anime’s staff stayed quiet about a potential sequel. It wasn’t until some time after the renewal that any information was revealed. Then, in February 2024, the anime released an announcement trailer for One Punch Man season 3.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, the official sources for the One Punch Man anime revealed the character visual for S-Class Rank 3 Hero Kamikaze, also known as Atomic Samurai. The new visual was illustrated by Ryosuke Shirakawa, one of the character designers for the upcoming third season of One Punch Man, alongside Shinjiro Kuroda.

The Atomic Samurai visual depicts the S-Class Hero poised for battle as he rests his hands on his scabbard, ready to draw his sword.

Since the anime’s trailer was released in February 2024, dedicated fans have likely noticed that the series’s official website has been gradually revealing the character designs of one hero each month.

So far, the anime has revealed the character visuals for six individuals. These include Saitama “Caped Baldy,”King, Genos “Demon Cyborg,”Fubuki “Hellish Blizzard,”Bang “Silver Fang,”and Tatsumaki “Terrible Tornado.”

Ryosuke Shirakawa has illustrated four of the seven character designs that have been unveiled so far: Saitama, King, Fubuki, and Kamikaze. The remaining three, Genos, Bang, and Tatsumaki, were illustrated by Shinjiro Kuroda.

How Fans Reacted to the Visual of Atomic Samurai’s Character

Despite the excitement surrounding the new character visual, fans also expressed concern over the anime’s third season. Despite the release of an announcement trailer over six months ago, there has been little information revealed about the upcoming season.

“He looks sick,”one fan said.

“Another visual another month closer to hopefully a new trailer. I’m guessing will be at the end of the visuals released,”another fan said.

“It’s been 7 months since the first trailer and we don’t know anything about the third season,”another added.

“This is awesome and all but like how many FREAKING MORE TILL SEASON 3?! 1000???,”other fan said.

Fans were eagerly anticipating a new trailer for One Punch Man season 3, but as character visuals were gradually being revealed each month, there was concern that they would have to wait until all illustrations were released. This was especially worrying due to the large cast of the anime, which would result in a lengthy wait for all character visuals to be unveiled.
