Discover Mew Hidden in Plain Sight within Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Mythical Island Cards

You may be excited to discover that you could have pulled a chase Pokémon from Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Mythical Island expansion, albeit in an unexpected manner.

Continuing its engaging gameplay, Pokémon TCG Pocket has launched the Mythical Island expansion, introducing new booster packs that feature a variety of cards—some of which are especially coveted by players.

A notable highlight includes the Celebi EX and Serperior combination, which has established itself as the premier meta deck in the game. Additionally, Vaporeon’s energy manipulation ability has made it a highly desirable card among collectors and players. At the forefront of this expansion is Mew, whose EX variant possesses a unique capability to reverse your opponent’s strongest attacks.

However, due to its rarity as an EX card, finding Mew in booster packs can be quite challenging. You might not realize that you already possess some Mew cards within your collection, as this elusive Pokémon cleverly hides in the background artwork of several Mythical Island cards.

Have You Discovered the Hidden Mews in Mythical Island?

Fans of Pokémon: The First Movie (1998) will recognize Mew as a playful trickster, often appearing just outside of view. This characteristic seems to have inspired the developers at Creatures and DeNA, as Mew has been cleverly integrated into the background of various cards from the Mythical Island expansion.

Reddit user WaluigisHat has revealed the delightful presence of the trickster Mythical Pokémon hidden in the illustrations of cards like Dreadnaw, Joltik, and Chatot. As we continue our search through our collections, we’re yet to find more of these elusive appearances.

This is not the first occasion where Pokémon TCG Pocket has innovatively incorporated hidden elements into its card art. Previously, in the Genetic Apex expansion, players discovered an exciting surprise known as the game’s Exodia through some cleverly placed Snorlax artwork.
