The Pre-Expansion Content Update for World of Warcraft has recently been released, bringing with it a multitude of changes in preparation for The War Within’s launch. Among these changes is the addition of Warbands, as well as a new toy that players should make use of without delay.
Once you have selected the four characters you want in your Warband, log into one of them. In addition to receiving a plethora of new quests and UI updates, you should also find a new toy in your collection to utilize.
Dubbed as “The Warband Map to Everywhere All At Once”, this item unveils all the areas on the map that have been previously explored by at least one member of the Warband.
This effectively makes many of the old map gadgets irrelevant, although a few of the scouting choices may still be of some use. The recently introduced Warband Map is just one part of Blizzard’s efforts to make World of Warcraft more accommodating for alternate characters.
The pre-patch has brought all of the major Warband features to players for them to experience. Among these features is the shared bank, which can be accessed after completing a short questline that begins in Gadgetzan.
A new type of loot, called Warbound, has been introduced. This type of loot is bound to a Warband instead of an individual character, making it easier to trade and use for gearing alts in The War Within.
Furthermore, various trading systems have been streamlined, enabling players to easily exchange items between characters through the UI instead of relying on mailing. Additionally, a significant update has made numerous achievements account-wide, granting players the ability to save time and progress on multiple characters simultaneously.
The official release date for The War Within is August 26. However, those with early access can play the game four days earlier on August 22.
