The Guardians were able to obtain Scintillation, a Strand Linear Fusion Rifle, for the first time after the weekly reset on June 25, 2024. This powerful weapon can be acquired by completing Nightfalls and can also be focused at Commander Zavala in The Tower after it has been obtained.
The stacked perk pool of Scintillation, which includes Rewind Rounds, Envious Assassin, Auto-Loading Holster, Bait & Switch, and Firing Line, makes it an exceptional DPS weapon. These perks can be further enhanced in The Final Shape.
Moreover, obtaining a Scintillation god roll should be fairly easy as Nightfall rewards will be doubled from June 25 to July 2. With a skilled fireteam, The Glassway Nightfall featured this week can be completed in 10 to 25 minutes, depending on the level of challenge, making it an ideal chance to farm for the Linear Fusion Rifle.
This is the god roll for Scintillation that you should aim for:
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Battery: Enhanced Battery
- Column Three: Rewind Rounds
- Column Four: Bait and Switch
- Origin Trait: Knows Stinger
Scintillation can be focused for x5 Vanguard Engrams and x25,000 Glimmer each.
Although this recommended god roll provides the highest practical DPS, there are other viable options as well. Envious Assassin is particularly strong, and Auto-Loading Holster is a good choice for any DPS rotation that involves frequent weapon changes while using Scintillation.
Although Bait and Switch is considered the top damage perk for Scintillation, Firing Line is a viable alternative that is often easier to trigger. Additionally, Enhanced Surrounded offers a colossal 47% increase in damage, making it a strong choice. However, it may be challenging to land precise shots with a Linear Fusion Rifle when surrounded by enemies.
Prior to the inclusion of Scintillation, the top-tier Strand Linear Fusion Rifle was Laser Painter. However, this Gambit-exclusive weapon not only possesses an inadequate perk selection, but also lacks desirable statistics. With the exception of Euphony from the Salvation’s Edge raid, Scintillation currently has no true contenders, making it a highly sought-after weapon to acquire while Nightfall rewards are still doubled.
