As of now, Warzone features 30 Submachine Guns (SMGs) following the recent integration of weapons from Black Ops 6. Among these new additions, one particular SMG stands out for its impressive close-range capabilities, yet it remains relatively underutilized.
The transition to Black Ops 6 occurred on November 14, bringing a mix of new and familiar weaponry into the Warzone battlefield. Since this update, two SMGs have quickly risen to prominence as favored options for tight combat scenarios and sniper auxiliary roles.
The first, the Jackal PDW, has taken the lead in the current meta thanks to its remarkable handling characteristics and swift time-to-kill (TTK). The second, known as the C9, is synonymous with MP5 gameplay but engineered for Black Ops 6. Its high sprint speed and versatile magazine options have made it a player favorite for sustaining fire in close encounters.
While both the Jackal PDW and C9 provide solid performance in tight situations, the less-favored KSV has surprised many with a faster TTK compared to the Jackal, making it an attractive option for loadouts in Warzone Ranked matches.
Top KSV Loadout for Season 1 Reloaded
According to Warzone expert TrueGameData, an optimal setup for the KSV can achieve an impressive 600 ms TTK with just a couple of headshots. This performance translates to significantly higher damage output per magazine compared to the Jackal PDW.
Recommended KSV Setup:
- Barrel: Long Barrel
- Rear Grip: Commando Grip
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Stock: No Stock
- Magazine: Extended Mag II

This specific loadout is built for players who excel at securing headshots, positioning the KSV as a contender for the title of the fastest-killing SMG in Warzone. TrueGameData elaborated on this: “You’ve seen PP-191 and Jackal builds, but the KSV stands out, needing only 9 shots to down an opponent at 600 ms when you factor in two headshots with chest shots. This surpasses the Jackal, which requires all headshots to achieve a comparable TTK.”
The demand for achieving headshot accuracy should not deter players from testing this setup; the inclusion of the vertical foregrip allows for a manageable recoil pattern that typically ascends straight up with minimal drift.
Although the KSV has yet to break into the Top 10 guns in Warzone, its impressive TTK paired with growing recognition in Black Ops 6‘s ranked mode suggests that it has the potential to become a favored choice in the near future.
