Toti elaborated, “This time, we have a built-in audience due to the horror genre, particularly among found-footage fans.” Toti and Kempf recognized the potential of their unique approach, leading to the film’s increasing popularity and eventual success in the festival circuit.
The filmmakers toured Midwestern cities during the summer of 2023, showcasing It Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This at various film festivals, including a feature in the highly regarded ‘Midnight Madness’ section at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film has since been screened at ten Alamo Drafthouse locations across the United States, much to the delight of horror fans.

As reported by Variety, Toti had long been fascinated by the séances conducted by Kempf and her best friend, Christian. Drawing upon this inspiration, the trio created a semi-improvised narrative featuring characters named Nick and Rachel, who encounter eerie occurrences in their new home after hosting a séance.
