“Disgusting” horror movie worse than A Serbian Film causing audience nausea

In the opinion of horror fans, there is one movie that they believe is even worse than A Serbian Film due to its “disgusting”and “disturbing”content.

Despite not being considered one of the top horror movies of all time, A Serbian Film, released in 2010, is often viewed as one of the most controversial films due to its excessive violence and shocking scenes.

Nevertheless, another movie is currently gaining popularity and threatening to claim the top spot. According to a Reddit thread, the 2015 Mexican film Atroz has been described as “one of the most disturbing movies you will ever see” .

“User ‘Glad_Speed_9684’ compared Atroz to A Serbian Film, noting its intense and unsettling nature. They described the movie as “disgusting”and “gory,”cautioning that it may not be suitable for those with a weak stomach.”

The storyline of Atroz revolves around the police who respond to a car crash and discover a video camera in the vehicle. Upon reviewing the footage, they uncover a series of heinous crimes, triggering a thorough investigation and resulting in a significant amount of violence.

Despite not being rated on Rotten Tomatoes, Atroz has received positive feedback from one review, which describes it as a treat for fans of gory films. However, it may be challenging to find where to watch Atroz, with some Redditors suggesting the Internet Archive as the best option. Previously available on Tubi, Atroz can also be purchased on DVD and Blu-ray.

Nevertheless, if you are someone who is sensitive to sexual violence, it may be best to avoid watching this film. As Glad_Speed_9684 cautioned, “Make sure you’re in a positive mental state if you choose to watch it because it really does mess with your psyche.”

Many other users in the Reddit thread expressed a similar viewpoint, with one person stating in a comment that the viewing experience was extremely difficult and recommended only for those seeking the most extreme content.

Prior to this, there have been other attempts to market films to horror enthusiasts as “even more unsettling than A Serbian Film”, such as the 2012 recommendation of Found.
