The Jungle Getaway update is filled with enticing new elements, including a return to a cherished Realm for a thrilling new experience, as well as an amazing collaboration that you won’t want to miss.

Set to launch on October 9, 2024, the Jungle Getaway update promises plenty of surprises. Here’s what you can look forward to:

What’s new in the Disney Dreamlight Valley Jungle Getaway?

DDV Timon and Pumbaa promotion — Gameloft

This free Jungle Getaway update invites players back to an enhanced Lion King realm featuring Timon and Pumbaa and introduces the exciting Night Show Star Path to Disney Dreamlight Valley.

New characters: Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King will now be part of your valley, bringing along new Friendship quests and unique items.
Enhanced The Lion King Realm: Upon your return post-update, you’ll discover a dynamic day and night cycle along with additional quests.
New Star Path: The Night Show Star Path will transform your Valley into a vibrant music festival featuring furniture for staging, a Rockstar Turtle companion, and rock music-inspired clothing reminiscent of Disney Villains and Princesses.
Halloween celebrations: The Trick or Treat event returns from October 23 to 31, offering new delightful rewards to discover.

Additional Enhancements

Along with the Jungle Getaway update, you’ll enjoy a new camera mode in Edit Mode, refined sprint controls, and improved Scrooge mannequins, among other adjustments:

Camera options: Select from two distinct camera styles in Edit Mode: the classic or an innovative new hybrid style. Note that the original style remains for Player House settings.
Sprinting mechanics: Choose your preferred sprinting configuration—stick with the traditional button setup or try the new Left Bumper option. A tap-to-sprint feature is also available now.
Controller support: Steam controllers are now fully operational without the necessity of Steam Input.
Scrooge’s Store: Today’s clothing mannequins can showcase furniture, including displays in the windows.
DreamSnaps & Photo Mode: You can skip up to 10 votes per day and hold tools or accessories in Photo Mode.
Premium Shop: A new “Recommended” section offers personalized weekly items.
Additional updates: Wings can double as Gliders, and it’s now easier to monitor duties and crafting with on-screen tracking.

Bug Fixes

Initialization Error #6: Additional measures have been taken to mitigate this error.
Quest adjustments: Various quest issues have been addressed, including instances where Olaf’s parasol wouldn’t show up, problems accessing Eternity Isle, and players becoming stuck during quests like “The Spark of Imagination” and “Diamond in the Rough.”
Game stability: Crashes on PlayStation consoles and wireless gamepad challenges have been resolved.
Fixes for invisible walls & house doors: Issues with players getting trapped or rooms lacking doors have been remedied.
Miscellaneous adjustments: Fixed various problems related to furniture, filters, crafting, visuals, and sound, in addition to gameplay bugs like those affecting fishing and Jafar’s screen appearance.
