While fans are overjoyed that Tiana has been added to Disney Dreamlight Valley in the Dappers Delight update, they are upset about a minor alteration that was made to the game.

The 12th installment of the popular Disney farming and life simulator has generated excitement among players as they anticipate unlocking Tiana’s Palace and meeting the beloved princess herself. However, some fans online have expressed discontent with the change to a button input.

A Reddit post initiated a conversation about the alteration of the glide button in the Dappers Delight update. In the past, the B or Circle buttons were used for hovering, but now players can achieve the same effect by pressing L1 on PlayStation, LB on Xbox, or L on Switch.

Despite the fact that players can now move the camera while gliding through the Valley, making it easier to navigate, the majority of the fanbase remains frustrated with this small update.

Some players who are dissatisfied with the new button change are hoping for the ability to revert back to the previous version. In response to the Reddit post, one fan commented, “I personally find it more challenging to hold down and it causes discomfort in my hand.”

Another participant chimed in, stating that they have “mild inflammatory arthritis”and they were concerned about how it would respond to this update.

Some commenters also suggested alternative options for the developers to consider, such as using the left trigger instead of the left bumper. This was proposed because the button naturally aligns with the index finger.

In addition to this, the update also involved swapping other buttons. Several replies noted that the developers had also changed the positions of the smart transfer and sort buttons.

It is possible that the backlash from dedicated fans on the internet will convince Gameloft to provide players with the ability to revert to their preferred controls. Only time will tell, especially since the Dapper Delights update was just released on August 21.
