Disney Lorcana Azurite Sea Launch: Release Date, New Starter Decks, and More Details

Disney Lorcana’s sixth set, Azurite Sea, has received its first official reveal.

With Shimmering Skies still feeling fresh, the team at Ravensburger is diving into an exciting new adventure across the Azurite Sea.

A new set brings significant changes to the Disney Lorcana meta, introduces new starter decks for players, and uncovers an intriguing new storyline. Additionally, a plethora of new accessories will accompany set six.

Disney Lorcana Azurite Sea Release Date

Azurite Sea will launch in specialized game and hobby stores globally on November 15, 2024, followed by a wider retail release on November 25, 2024. This will be the final Lorcana set of 2024 as we transition into the new year. Ravensburger has also teased what to expect in 2025, including new Glimmers from The Black Cauldron and Pocahontas, plus the introduction of Pixar characters into the TCG.

Disney Lorcana Azurite Sea Story & Setting

Illumineers and Glimmers are journeying back into the Inklands and setting sail across the Azurite Sea. They hope to find someone or something to help repair the Great Illuminary, all while keeping an eye out for Jafar lurking in the shadows.

The high-seas action brings pirates, featuring beloved Disney characters transformed into buccaneer-themed Floodborn and Dreamborn variants. More characters with the Pirate keyword will create exciting opportunities for tribal decks.

This perilous region within Lorcana demands trustworthy allies. New characters from Big Hero 6 and Rescue Rangers will join you on your quest.

Azurite Sea Accessories

Azurite Sea will feature a variety of new accessories to enhance your Disney Lorcana gameplay. New deck boxes and sleeves will showcase characters like Scar – Vengeful Lion and the beloved art of Winnie the Pooh – Hunny Wizard, providing a small consolation to those who missed Pooh’s playmat.

This new set also introduces two new playmats: one featuring Elsa – The Fifth Spirit and the other showcasing Donald Duck – Buccaneer, both characters previously introduced in Shimmering Skies.

The Amber/Ruby Starter Deck focuses on the new Pirate variants of Characters in Azurite Sea, led by Jim Hawkins – Honorable Pirate, enabling players to search their deck for additional Pirates. Ideally, you’ll draw Tigger – In The Crow’s Nest, who quests for extra Lore with each Action played.

The Emerald/Sapphire deck emphasizes Inventors, introducing numerous new mechanics that enhance Characters with that Keyword. Gadget Hackwrench allows you to play Inventor Characters for one less Ink if three or more Items are in play, while Go Go Tomago utilizes Evasive abilities to gain Lore equal to the damage on an opposing Character by paying two Ink.
