Disney Lorcana’s upcoming set Shimmering Skies is almost here, and we have an exciting exclusive card reveal to share with you. Brace yourself for a sneak peek at Ulf – Mime, guaranteed to add to your anticipation.
Disney Lorcana has been consistently releasing new sets at a rapid pace. The next highly anticipated set is Shimmering Skies, which will be the TCG’s first ever simultaneous global release, adding to the excitement surrounding its launch.
The success over Ursula has brought joy to both Illumineers and Glimmers in Shimmering Skies, but there are now some issues on the horizon. This upcoming set will introduce a variety of fresh Characters, Locations, Items, and Songs from beloved Disney franchises.
Even though the release date is still a bit far away, Ravensburger’s team has been consistently showcasing new cards from Disney Lorcana Shimmering Skies. And now, we are excited to share our own exclusive card reveal with you, featuring Ulf – Mime.
Oh, Ravensburger… Unspeakably good. Get it?
Ulf, also known as Mime, is a character that costs four and belongs to the Emerald Ink color in the game. He may be familiar to fans of Disney’s Tangled as one of the villains who aspires to a different life. Ulf is part of a trio that includes Gunther, the Interior Designer, and Tor, the Florist, all of whom were released in the Ursula’s Return expansion.
Ulf’s unique ability, known as ‘Silent Performance’, prevents him from being able to sing Songs. This is not surprising, considering he is a mime. Interestingly, Ulf is only the second Disney Lorcana Character card to lack the innate ability to sing, placing him among the ranks of Disney royalty such as Ariel – On Human Legs.
Despite not being able to sing, Ulf – Mime’s potential partnership with Steel in Emerald’s meta play, known for their powerful songs, could make him a popular choice in Disney Lorcana’s Draft format. His ability to Quest for two Lore can aid in achieving a quick victory, and his flexibility with four Strength and three Willpower allows for consistent Challenges.
Additionally, Ulf – Mime boasts impressive card art by Matt Chapman, an Australian artist who has skillfully captured the essence of Tangled’s 3D animation in Lorcana’s signature style. Fortunately, being classified as a Common rarity makes Ulf easily accessible to collectors who appreciate the artwork featured in the TCG.
