Dispatch Exposes Min Hee Jin’s Discrimination Against Trainee Based on Her Appearance: ‘She Looks Like A Fool’

Despite allegations that ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin poached members of NewJeans from Source Music, a former trainee is gaining sympathy for an unexpected reason. Netizens are questioning why she was not chosen to be a part of the final group.

On July 23, the Korean media outlet Dispatch revealed that Min was originally a part of Source Music’s debut project, Team N, which has since been renamed NewJeans.

Then, she was accused of intentionally postponing the members’ debut in order to promote and establish the group under her own record label, ADOR.

Despite the lengthy report, K-pop fans were particularly vocal in expressing their “disgust”towards the accusation that Min Hee Jin had dismissed a member based on a shaman’s claim that the trainee “appeared to be possessed by a ghost.”

In a video of a dance practice that was leaked by Dispatch, all five members of NewJeans were seen performing the demo version of their debut track, “Attention,”which also included two unidentified trainees.

It was discovered that their concept had already been established before they joined ADOR and that there were initially seven members. However, a leaked conversation between Min Hee Jin and the shaman revealed that one of the trainees was unjustly removed from the group because of her appearance.

Specifically, Min forwarded the photo of the trainee to the shaman and inquired:

“Do you agree if I remove her?”

The shaman approved but also reprimanded the trainee, stating:

“She looks like a total fool. Her eyes look like she has a second soul.”

Additionally, Min asked:

“Is she possessed by a ghost?”

The shaman responded:

“Totally. She has a dark undereye and looks like she’s completely out of it.”

Upon hearing this, the CEO of ADOR responded:

“She is eliminated, confirmed.”

After witnessing this exchange, K-netizens and K-pop fans were left feeling both frustrated and sympathetic towards the trainee who was wronged by Min and the shaman.

Despite the frequent occurrence of trainees being dropped from the debut lineup due to varying skills and images, fans expressed their belief that the seven members were a perfect match and felt it was unjust for any of them to be eliminated for such a trivial reason.

Despite these suspicions, ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin refuted the claims and provided her own explanation of the events.

Despite facing consecutive controversies, including accusations of plagiarism, NewJeans has announced on their official social media platform that they will be taking a hiatus from their activities for the time being.

“NewJeans, who successfully concluded this busy promotion after going through many difficult processes, will take a break to recharge and then prepare to return with a new look.

However, in the meantime, they will continue to greet fans with surprising schedules and content. Please show lots of interest and anticipation.”
