Dispute Over Music Video Removal Causes Controversy Between IVE and Starship Entertainment

The removal of IVE’s “Accendio”music video from YouTube came as a surprise to many DIVEs. On various social media platforms, netizens and fans have expressed their opinions on the removal and have also sparked speculation about a potential disagreement between the song’s producers and Starship Entertainment.

On April 29, IVE officially launched their album “IVE Switch,”which included the double title tracks “Heya”and “Accendio.”In addition to these two songs, the album featured B-side tracks such as “Blue Heart,””Ice Queen,””Wow,”and “Reset.”

Nevertheless, on August 2, viewers were alarmed when the music video for “Accendio”was unexpectedly removed from YouTube.

Despite being produced by Jack Brady and Jordan Roman, the music video for “Accendio”was removed from social media platform X (Twitter) due to a copyright claim. This caused numerous posts to circulate online, alluding to the reasons behind the removal.

This caused speculation among fans that Starship Entertainment was facing copyright issues with the producers, and raised questions about whether they had neglected to fulfill their obligations to pay song royalties.

In the meantime, others expressed their dissatisfaction with Starship Entertainment and urged the company to address the matter promptly.

On December 9, 2021, Jang Wonyoung made an appearance on MBC’s program “Radio Star”and talked about her time as the maknae (youngest member) in the project girl group IZ*ONE.

Despite numerous inquiries about the potential weight of her title, Wonyoung, who debuted with the group at the age of 15, continues to express appreciation for the name.

Despite her previous status as the youngest member, the idol’s maknae position seemed to have diminished upon her debut with IVE on December 1, 2021. Wonyoung revealed, “I was accustomed to always being the youngest among my group. However, in IVE, there is a member who is three years younger than me.”

“I am not accustomed to giving advice to someone younger than myself,”the idol expressed. “I have a desire to impart my knowledge and teach them certain things, but I fear being labeled as an old geezer.”

We would love to hear your opinion on the removal of the music video. Please share your thoughts in the comments section below!
