According to a report by Newsis dated November 21, the divorce mediation between Jiyeon and Hwang Jae-gyun was successfully finalized on November 20 at the Seoul Family Court. Notably, both parties were absent during the mediation proceedings, with only their legal representatives present. They successfully reached an agreement regarding the division of their assets.

Official Separation After Nearly Two Years

The couple, who exchanged vows in December 2022, have now officially parted ways after a marriage lasting around two years. Their relationship has been the subject of intense media scrutiny, particularly after rumors about their divorce began circulating in June of this year.

Luxurious Residence at the Center of Asset Division

Although the specifics of their asset division remain undisclosed, the couple’s former residence has drawn significant attention. They resided in a luxurious penthouse within the renowned Signiel Residence located in Lotte World Tower, situated in the Songpa district of Seoul. This prestigious residence first opened its doors to tenants in April 2017.

The Signiel Residence is notable for its impressive layout, occupying floors 42 to 71 of the tower. Apartment sizes vary considerably: from 209 to 387 square meters on floors 44 to 46, 271 to 374 square meters on floors 47 to 56, and 350 to 384 square meters on floors 61 to 67. The opulent penthouses, located on the 68th to 71st floors, range from 667 to 1,238 square meters and feature a duplex design.

Property Value and Amenities

The price of apartments in this luxurious building varies significantly, starting from 4.2 billion to 37 billion KRW, with an average rate of approximately 75 to 80 million KRW per 3.3 square meters. The penthouses, on the other hand, command around 120 million KRW per 3.3 square meters. Residents of the Signiel Residence enjoy a wealth of amenities, including a fitness club, golf practice area, and sauna access, all complimentary for two household members for a 20-year period.

In addition, the building features exclusive community spaces such as a café, gallery, party room, guest accommodations, and a wine cellar. Security is a top priority, requiring residents to switch elevators twice to access their floors.
